To do this we open the start menu and enter cmd or command line and then run the displayed application. In the opened black screen window enter the ipconfig command and confirm with the Enter key. A list of network information will appear on the screen including the IP address labeled IPv Address. macOS users can find the IP address by using System Preferences.
